2B14 Mortar Calculator for Arma Reforger
The 2B14 is the other vanilla mortar in Arma Reforger, and it is not computed like the M252: its azimuth runs on the 6000 mil scale and the operator setting is a charge number. Reforger FDC keeps the two scales apart and gives the 2B14 its own numbers.

What the calculator computes for the 2B14
It takes range and azimuth from the two points, picks a charge that covers the range, and returns the elevation and the time of flight. Where charges overlap, the other solutions sit next to the recommended one. Choosing between them is a trade: at 500 metres charge zero arrives in about 12 seconds and charge four in about 33, while the higher charge changes elevation more slowly with range, so a range error hurts less.
Gun and target heights are read from the map terrain, and the altitude correction is applied on its own. The 2B14 tables carry wind coefficients; where a direction and range are not covered, the application says so and leaves the solution without a wind correction rather than substituting a plausible number.
Things that catch people out
- The 6000 mil scale. An azimuth taken from the M252, or from any calculator working in 6400, is wrong here: the gap grows with the azimuth and reaches several hundred mils in the rear arc.
- Smoke stops at 1700 metres, well short of the high explosive round. A distant target that the HE table covers may not be reachable with smoke at all.
- Illumination has no charge zero; it starts at charge one.
How to open the 2B14 in the application
- Open Reforger FDC and choose the map workflow or the coordinate one.
- In the weapon block select the 2B14 and the projectile you need.
- Place the gun point and the target point; heights come from the terrain.
- Read the charge, azimuth, elevation and time of flight, then mark the impact to get a correction.
