Where the maps and firing tables come from
Nothing in this calculator is a copy of someone's mod. The maps are terrain drawn by the project, the firing tables are numbers read or measured inside Arma Reforger. This page names who made each original and on what terms it is used here.
What a map pack is made of
It contains
- image tiles of the terrain, rendered by the project
- location names as text labels
- an elevation grid for terrain shading and firing solutions
- a manifest naming the source, the game version and these terms
It never contains
- the original mod archive, in whole or in part
- models, textures, materials or sound
- scripts, configs or prefabs
Maps
Bohemia Interactive
The terrain of Arma Reforger belongs to Bohemia Interactive. These maps were captured in game with the project's own tooling and ship with the calculator. Bohemia Interactive has granted no distribution permission, and none is claimed. Not for commercial use.
- Everon No permission claimed
- Arland No permission claimed
- Kolguyev No permission claimed
SPEARHEAD
The SPEARHEAD team gave permission on 12 September 2026, on the condition that every map names its creator. All four maps are on the site, each with the creator's name and the SPEARHEAD logo on the map itself.

Firing tables
Every number in a ballistic pack was read off a table inside the game or measured by firing in it. No game or mod file was opened to get them. The calculator shows each pack's source next to the solution it produced.
Bohemia Interactive
The vanilla mortars, transcribed from the ballistic table the game itself shows and checked against it.
Mods that rewrite the vanilla mortars
The calculator reads the M252 and the 2B14 off the vanilla tables. On a server running a mod that changes their ballistics these numbers fit no range at all, and the miss looks like a broken calculator. The common one is Adult Mortars: it roughly doubles the range of both mortars, rewrites the firing tables, adjusts dispersion and changes how many rings the Soviet smoke round takes. It leaves the M777, the Grad and the Vasilek alone: those come from their own mods with their own tables.
| Round | Limit in game | Our last table row | With Adult Mortars |
|---|---|---|---|
| M821 HE | 2950 m | 2900 m | 5900 m |
| M853A1 illumination | 2500 m | 2400 m | 5000 m |
| M819 smoke | 2450 m | 2400 m | 4900 m |
| M879 practice | 2900 m | 2900 m | 5800 m |
| O-832DU HE | 2350 m | 2300 m | 3920 m |
| S-832S illumination | 2240 m | 2200 m | 3730 m |
| D-832DU smoke | 1700 m | 1700 m | 2835 m |
The first column is how far the round itself flies in game, as the Adult Mortars page states those values before its own changes. The second is the last row of the in-game firing table that carries an elevation and a time of flight: past it the table stops and the calculator returns nothing. The gap between the two is the stretch where the round still flies and there is nothing left to compute from.
PandaMods
Measured by the project in game. The mod author gave permission on 16 August 2026 for free non-commercial use and for distribution with this calculator, and later confirmed that the ballistics have not changed since version 2.1.2.
- M777 Author's permission
Tactical Flava
Both mods are by KERNOV and are published under the Arma Public License No Derivatives. The numbers were read from the Ballistic Manual board the mods show in game and are credited to their author. The author was not asked for permission and none is claimed: the terms of the licence are what this rests on.
- 2B9 Vasilek APL-ND licence
- BM-21 Grad APL-ND licence
